Backed by one of the most prominent companies, Lowes, Jason Colbert inks the first shoe deal of Memphis, Tennessee for his company Life In Colors Studio; a fine art company on an unwavering mission to spread the colorful message of creative unity. Starting the 1st quarter of 2024 strong, Jason Colbert makes art history as the first fine artist from his city to strike a shoe deal. After being featured on the Lowes website, and live painting for Lowes at Memphis in May 2021, Jason has trail-blazed Memphis on a path to being recognized as an artist hub, over the brim with passionate artist.

What are some of the highlights of your career as an artist? Also what are some of the challenges you face as an artist?
One of my favorite moments in my career was when Lowe’s published my work on their website. Being featured on a website that was unrelated to art was an amazing experience. The most challenging aspect of my career is knowing when to slow down and take a break from work.
What do the pieces “Mother Memphis” & “Tigrizz” mean to you? And what message are you sending with these pieces?
I am a native of Memphis and I aim to promote unity among our people. My paintings are named to inspire hope and showcase the beautiful side of Memphis that many don’t get to see.
What does being an artist mean for you? What opportunities and challenges have you encountered?
Being an artist means having the freedom to escape reality, stress, pain, and heartbreak by expressing oneself on a canvas.

Davincii is an art footwear brand founded in 2020. The brand now sponsors as many as 24 artist all of which are at the top of the charts in their prospective fields.
